AI in Education

AI in Education

The Romanian space is slow to adapt to this technological revolution, and now we have to deal with gaps in digital skills, with unequal access to technological resources, with outdated teaching methods and an inadequate preparation of young people for the labor market. Moreover, the educational system in Romania still does not recognize this paradigm shift.

Nowadays, the teacher is no longer the person who transfers knowledge, because it is available to anyone, from anywhere and at any time, but represents the mediator between the student and knowledge.

On October 4-5th, 2024, Iași City Hall in partnership with "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University, Iași County School Inspectorate, IAȘI AI community and ASII are organising "I.A.S.I. 2024 – Artificial Intelligence in the Education System 2024 – the perspectives of education in the era of the technological revolution.", a series of workshops aiming to increase the level of cooperation and connection of the network of professionals in the educational and technological field, in order to develop measures and public policies aimed at developing the digital skills of young people and teachers in Romania, in order to facilitate the effective integration of technology in the educational process.
