The use of face, as biometrics for authentication is becoming prevalent especially on mobile and embedded system. Alexandra, our speaker for this session will share how to overcome the challenges of constructing a robust verification system for devices with limited computation capabilities.

Alexandra-Stefania Moloiu is currently a Data Science Engineer at Luxoft, AI specialist at Spiru Haret Univesity, Professor at ITLevel and PhD student at Politehnica University. She worked at many problems in biometrics (face recognition, iris recognition, electrocardiogram-based authentication system), self-driving cars (scene understanding, obstacle detection, lane marker recognition) and other pattern recognition systems (eye movement detection, pedestrian tracking and character recognition), using various technologies and machine learning techniques.
