December is special and because of that, we’ll continue the tradition which we started last year, with a panel with representatives from academic medium and talk about research in AI, do a reality check and identify steps we need to do in order to stimulate the interest in researching.

- Adrian Iftene, associate professor and dean at the Faculty of Computer Science Iasi, "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University. He was involved in numerous research projects as a member or coordinator for both national and international projects and his domains of interests include artificial intelligence (natural language processing - the credibility of resources and of information from the social networks and from the Internet) and new technologies (augmented and virtual reality, application control with voice, gestures, and eyes).
- Iulian Ciocoiu is a professor and deputy dean, in charge of the research activity at the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology at the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi. Research fields of interest include the theory and applications of artificial neural networks, pattern recognition, biomedical signal processing and biometric applications.
- Alexandru Burlacu MD, PhD, FESC combines the activity of minimally invasive interventional cardiology with that of a scientist (numerous publications in prestigious medical European papers), as well as didactic interest. Professional member of Thrombosis Workgroup from the European Society of Cardiology, he is mainly involved in modern interventional treatment of Acute Myocardial Infarction patients and involved in several projects implementing AI in medicine (Big data, ML, NLP).
- Gabriel Marchidan core member of IAȘI AI community, passionate about artificial intelligence and involved in several projects on AI and education. Involved in the organization of TMLSS (Transylvanian Machine Learning Summer School) and EEML (Eastern European Machine Learning Summer School).
